Manfred P Mueller, MD graduated from Purdue University before enrolling in the Indiana University School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 1982. He graduated from both institutions summa cum laude.

Dr Mueller completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at the University of Iowa. He gained fellowship training in allergy, critical care and respiratory medicine at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina and subsequently joined the clinical and research faculty.

He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders Medicine. He serves as the Medical Director of the Indiana Sleep Center. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Indiana University Medical Center and is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Thoracic Society.

Dr Mueller has been published in the American Review of Respiratory Diseases, the Journal of Applied Physiology, and the New England Journal of Medicine and Chest.
